A healthy workplace begins with people who are encouraged to prioritise their health.
As part of Project Sunkalp, a cancer screening camp was conducted at Pearl Global Company,Madurantakam, bringing preventive healthcare and early detection services closer to employees.
A total of 60 beneficiaries participated in the screening, including 9 men and 51 women.
The camp provided:
* 48 iBreast Examinations
* 58 Oral Examinations
* 31 Pap Smear Tests
The camp was also marked by the official visit of Dr. M. Banupriya and Dr. L. Manikandan, who met with the HR team at Pearl Global Company and interacted on the importance of workplace health, cancer awareness, prevention, and early detection.
Their visit highlighted the value of collaboration between healthcare organisations and workplaces in creating opportunities for employees to prioritise their health through accessible screening and awareness initiatives.
Cancer may not always show noticeable warning signs in its early stages. Regular screening can help identify suspicious changes early and encourage timely medical consultation and follow-up.
The participation of 51 women highlights the importance of making breast and cervical cancer screening accessible within the workplace. Workplace screening camps can make it easier for employees to prioritise preventive healthcare alongside their daily responsibilities.
Through Project Sunkalp, Kalpavriksham Trust continues to work with workplaces, PHCs, local communities, healthcare professionals, and CSR partners to expand access to cancer screening across Madurantakam.
Kalpavriksham Trust is registered under 12AB, 80G, and CSR-1 (MCA) and is listed on NGO Darpan, with transparent camp-wise impact reporting for CSR partnerships.
